Parks is a young scholar whose work focuses on the intersection of critical race theory & social science and interdisciplinary understanding of Black Greek-letter organizations. Dr. Parks is the editor of four books: African American Fraternities and Sororities: The Legacy and the Vision (University Press of Kentucky, 2005), Black Greek-Letter Organizations in the 21st Century: Our Fight Has Just Begun (University Press of Kentucky, 2008), Critical Race Realism: Intersections of Psychology, Race, and Law (The New Press, 2008), and Brothers and Sisters: Diversity in American College Fraternities and Sororities (Fairleigh Dickinson University, 2008). And he is currently co-editing a book of critical and empirical scholarship on BGLOs with Matthew W. Hughey. Dr. Parks' scholarly articles have appeared in Psychology, Public Policy, and Law and the Cornell Journal of Law and Public Policy.

Dr. Parks is a 2008 J.D. candidate at Cornell Law School. He earned his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Kentucky, an M.S. in Forensic Psychology from the City University of New York, and a B.S. in psychology from Howard University. He is a 32nd degree Mason and Life Member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
